Facebook announced that its Facebook Analytics tool would be discontinued. It remained available until June 30, 2021, and until then advertisers could export up to 24 months of data as CSV files. After that date, neither the tool nor the data it had collected could be accessed.
What Facebook Analytics tracked
The Activity section of the reports showed data such as:
user activity;
funnels you had set up;
retention, or users returning to your page;
groups of users who had interacted with your page, if you had created one;
data tables, especially for Facebook Shops;
post performance;
journeys that led to a conversion;
messaging statistics, such as conversations started and deleted;
events, such as user activity;
audience overlap;
customer lifetime value.
Data could be exported for up to 24 months back.

The People report showed demographic data about your audience, and the Settings section let you change the time zone and the currency used for advertising on the account.
Where to find this data now
The good news is that most of this data is still available in Meta Ads Manager and Events Manager, which rely mainly on the Meta Pixel (formerly the Facebook Pixel) installed on your website. Page and audience insights are also available in Meta Business Suite. The main advantage of Facebook Analytics was that it brought all of this data together in one place, with deeper analysis. Today, the same information is spread across several tools.
